The 4th Cierny-Mader lecture was delivered by Professor Eric Senneville of Dron Hospital, Tourcoing, France on antibiotic suppression for prosthetic joint infections.
As Oxford hosted the 35th annual meeting of the European Bone and Joint Infection Society (EBJIS) on the 1st – 3rd September 2016 OBIC was limited this year to a one day instructional meeting on the 31st August 2016, immediately preceding EBJIS in the Oxford Town Hall.

The 2nd Cierny-Mader lecture was delivered by Professor Jason Calhoun from West Michigan, USA. Professor Jason Calhoun’s research has focused on new approaches to manage osteomyelitis, including the testing of novel antibiotics, strategies to destroy or prevent biofilms, and surgical techniques.
